In Madrid. They say the @LesMills BODYCOMBAT community is an international one and tonight it certainly was. Absolute privilege to do a class and get summoned to the stage on track 4! Thank you to Oscar, David and Adriana for their hospitality and welcoming to their BC family 🥊
Paramedics and those in the emergency services are adaptable, multiskilled and crucially, know how to work under pressure.
Proudly becoming Patron of @ParamedicsUK. It’s been a privilege to spend time today with first responders whose work saves lives day in, day out.
PS. Would 100% recommend popping along and trying it. I was never in to fitness or fitness classes, let alone thinking I’d ever want to teach it! Genuinely has changed my life for the better with great people and new friends! Find your class here: https://t.co/8kKvpKjW2H
Been relatively absent from X recently.
Completely left field but started @lesmillsUK BODYCOMBAT a few years ago, and have decided to take the plunge and become an instructor.
First time shadow instructing some of the class at the weekend and full class on Monday. 1/n
It felt very different being at the front even not saying a word, never had that much of a dry mouth before 🥵. Talking will be the next big step (I can just about breathe).
Here’s too a stronger, fitter, happier life 🏃🏻♂️ 3/n
Delighted to have received fellowship of @R_S_P_H .. A privilege to bring some public health knowledge and experience to the ambulance service, supported by a fantastic team and wider Trust @swasFT.
@annagelderd@JayneKirkham4@Perran4CRH @NoahLaw4StAN Well done for doing it in Cornish! Was doing some light reading on the @HansardSociety the other day and didn’t realise you could do it in Cornish until then.
Happy International Paramedics Day. Still incredibly proud to put on my uniform and book on every morning to help those in need. Special shoutout to our ECA’s, call handlers and all the other roles who doesn’t get a day dedicated to them, but whom without we would not function!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Turns out it’s both (and a very nice ice cream which is absolutely on that seagulls radar!!) Lovely to get back out doing what I love. I did have to wipe ice cream of my chops before taking the photo below. And yes police can have ice cream.
@Med_Law_Mal@ParamedicsUK Very interesting and timely considering Trusts having lots of discussions locally and nationally, especially regarding gaining entry into premises which is a complex area.
@Interestbroadly@AACE_org@swasFT It’s the first time we’ve really stepped into this arena from a violence reduction perspective in ambulance services, so very much still navigating the delivery of it. Confident we will be able to get some good results and keep people safe at the same time.
A good few days with colleagues @AACE_org talking about our national body worn video direction, charter and strategy. Pleased that 75% of our people are currently utilising a body worn camera @swasFT . Still some work to do ensure all colleagues feel empowered to use BWV.
@Interestbroadly@AACE_org@swasFT We will for sure. Early stages. We’re working with a local university for some evaluation, and one of my colleagues is doing an evaluation piece for some university work. I’m also starting masters in public health in September so hopefully making it a bit more academic.
