Partnering with the @NCSML has allowed us to explore a history not written about in most textbooks, as well as create through artistic expression. Excellent write-up by the @gazettedotcom on a project commemorating the anti-communist push of the late 1980s https://t.co/5Fzx8qbrHG
Meeting with Linn County Conservation about steps for restoring public land to its natural, native habitat. First step: selecting a specific area within the 7,000+ acres of public land to restore.
Partner Pitches and Luncheon, 2018.
What a privilege it is to partner with surrounding businesses, economic authorities, and non-profit organizations! Thanks to our partners for your investment in innovative problem-solving.
Today, we met with Kelli from @nature_center to build a foundation for developing a teachable learning space within the main building. What a beautiful facility! We're excited to contribute to the mission of ICNC!
How do we increase the value and usability of this space? Team members are in the early stages of customer discovery and developing a project backlog. Elements of design, architecture, construction, and various soft skills are proving to be paramount!
Check us out across at the corner of Roosevelt and Alburnett Rd, next to the fire station! Fresh produce from the district’s garden beds. Free-will donation. We’ll be here until 10:00!
Kudos to @Ahube15, @Hsev3919, and Jordan Balderston for completing the @STEMInnovator portfolio and proficiency exam and qualifying for three elective credits through the University of Iowa!
This team took on an initiative as challenging as any in the PC. Throughout the year, they’ve gradually taken chances and because of it, someone will be in a better position to develop an outdoor pavilion for lunch, class, and community in the future. Be proud of your growth!
Growth in the garden beds! A little rain, warmth, and sunshine made a world of difference last week. We’re seeing some summer squash, beans, basil, radishes, beats, lettuce, and tomatoes so far.
The aquaponics team played host to @DaveDeWitte of the Corridor Business Journal today. Be sure to look for these guys within the CBJ’s weekly journal.
Well done, fellas!
Abby wasn’t able to make it to school today...so we found another way to meet! She joined the rest of the team (on Hangouts) as they met with Sophomores to talk about the Pirate Collaborative next year.
We’re so lucky to have this guy at Alburnett! @FancyFormOfOne has such incredible passion for his craft.
The outdoor pavilion team teamed with pre-calc to identify the amount of material for roofing through intense right triangle trigonometry. Thanks, Mr. G!
It's been a busy morning in @ThePirateCollab! Thanks to Jennie Morton with Herringbone Freelance for stopping in to share some wisdom on content marketing. Know your audience. Tell your story. Connect the audience with information that entertains, informs, or inspires.
