Pitcher portrays CHARACTER by how he approaches his task. But even more so how he responds to failure! #pitching #baseball

Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit. #quote #quoteotheday #Motivation

To focus on matters beyond our control is to misdirect energy, waste time, and doom us to frustration and failure.

FEAR = False Education that Appears Real.
If you listen to the lies, you will go nowhere. You want to get yourself challenging your fears.

The most important thing is being passionate about what you’re doing and always give it your all. That is the key to success.

In athletics, the idea of possibility is presumed. It’s not ‘if;’ it’s ‘how.’ -Aimee Mullens

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Your most important coach is YOURSELF!

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

SELF-IMPROVEMENT as a person and as an athlete is a process, an arduous one for those who are determined and persistent.

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Success for a pitcher comes from adopting the philosophy or ATTACKING THE STRIKE ZONE and putting it into action

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

GATHERING ones self is the internal action of calming down and slowing down thoughts so that he can use POSITIVE self talk!

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

On the mound, anything that is not related to the TASK AT HAND is irrelevant!

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Not what the pitch is, but how it is thrown!
With COMMITMENT, CONFIDENCE, ASSERTIVENESS
Throwing hard does not make a pitcher aggressive

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Be AGGRESSIVE IN THE STRIKE ZONE, the pitcher will increase the personal likelihood of success beyond the statistical one built in the game

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Focus on behavior and task, rather than circumstance and possible outcome.

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Be UNYIELDING, even when you don't have your "best stuff".

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

See any situation as a challenge, a joy! Nothing to fear. Expect to do well, and you will do well!

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

Pitchers who want to be consistent must make a commitment. FORMULATE GOALS, DEVELOP ROUTINE, HAVE MENTAL DISCIPLINE TO FOLLOW ROUTINES!

[ThePitchingMind @ThePitchingMind]

A pitcher who predicts outcomes (good or bad) is preparing himself and his body to play into that prediction!POSITIVITY! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
