@Sargon_of_Akkad@Poliscikosis My, um... surprise, when I open X to see you posting a clip from my favorite movie. My father showed me this as a young kid, its followed me through life and I've watched more times than I can count. Probably formed some of my views.
@mebigboy73@AussieGamr Based on the stats, Port Arthur is an outlier. Like this event. Problem is, since the gun ban, general mass shooting frequency or casualties hasn't changed much... So no. It hasn't worked.
@Shellzonit@StandUpForFact Likely after they get a private sector job? You act like they get fired here and just dont do anything. This will be a minor economic blip in compaison to most events and will actually improve the economy in the long term.
@Shellzonit@StandUpForFact I would actually argue the opposite. They need those things anyway, and they will buy them anyway. Its just now they will actually create value through work in the economy instead of leaching on it through use of tax dollars in the public sector.
@derekkite@gammarayghoul@ABDanielleSmith Exactly why we should put that word in quotes. A right with an override is a privilege and in fact... not a right at all.
@_PeaceN0tWar @ABDanielleSmith You have lived here your entire life and didn't know when it was instituted as a province? Or that there was a minor celebration of that fact? You sure that you have been here your whole life?
@YahisKing86757@SamanthaTaghoy Its the purpose of every sovereign nation. The fact we are having this discussion is insane. Any and all illegals should be logged, jailed with harsh punishment, and then deported. The revolving door needs to be jammed closed. No borders, no nation.
@AnisaTheGreasy And to take you at face value, it appears you experienced an extremely rare event. I have been shooting a lot, many ranges, a few competitions. A mistake is extremely rare and if it does happen, often its in a safe manner due to other safety steps.
@AnisaTheGreasy You say "as a Canadian" like we don't own guns here. Pretty much every second person I meet owns at least one gun. There are estimated to be between 700k-1m SKS rifles in Canada. That in basic terms means 2.5% of Canadian's own 1 type of gun. Stop talking like Canada is gun free.
