मध्य प्रदेश के उज्जैन में सिंहस्थ महाकुंभ 2028 की तैयारियों के बीच सड़क चौड़ीकरण के लिए करीब 170 साल पुराने खड़े हनुमान मंदिर को हटाने के बाद अब मंदिर की विशाल प्रतिमा को शिफ्ट करने की चुनौती सामने आ गई है। करीब 8 फुट ऊंची प्रतिमा को हटाने के लिए 4 दिनों में 4 बार कोशिश की गई, लेकिन हाइड्रोलिक मशीन और क्रेन की मदद के बावजूद प्रतिमा अपनी जगह से टस से मस नहीं हुई।

बताया जा रहा है कि प्रतिमा की नींव जमीन के भीतर कितनी गहराई तक है, इसका अभी पता नहीं चल पाया है। आशंका है कि यह प्रतिमा एक ही विशाल पत्थर से बनी हो सकती है। ऐसे में इसे खींचकर हटाने पर प्रतिमा के खंडित होने का खतरा भी बना हुआ है।

इसी बीच प्रतिमा की वास्तविक उम्र को लेकर भी पड़ताल शुरू हो गई है। दावा है कि यह प्रतिमा 170 साल से अधिक पुरानी है, जबकि इसके परमार वंश और राजा भोज के काल से जुड़े होने की संभावना भी जताई जा रही है। अगर यह दावा सही साबित होता है तो प्रतिमा करीब 1000 साल पुरानी भी हो सकती है।

अब ग्राउंड स्कैनिंग के जरिए प्रतिमा की नींव और संरचना की जानकारी जुटाई जाएगी, जिसके बाद शिफ्टिंग को लेकर अंतिम फैसला होगा। वहीं, भक्तों का कहना है कि ‘हनुमानजी अपना स्थान छोड़ना नहीं चाहते’, जिसके चलते सोशल मीडिया पर भी आस्था से जुड़े पोस्ट तेजी से सामने आ रहे हैं। हिंदू संगठनों ने प्रतिमा की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित किए बिना शिफ्टिंग का विरोध किया है।
