This is a fun story, but note that Barack Obama and Joe Biden both also had to deal with Israel’s desire to get a war with Iran going and managed to actually avoid this situation rather than just yelling on the phone.
@JetCastJackson@JohnNaborsShow I’ll say the same thing I told the LSU fan who told me to “Take my ass back to Arkansas” after a brutal loss last year (plural). “Congrats man.”
We are lucky to have him. It’s only a part of the fanbase with a high percentage of them who use online platforms. I have season tickets and understand how good we have it. This year, we were good but not great and that’s how we finished.
The narrative amongst the fanbase about the baseball program is a problem.
DVH is the winningest active collegiate baseball coach. The most wins among D1 programs in the last 10 years. 10 STRAIGHT 40 win seasons. 2018 is not on him. Players have to execute and there is NOTHING a coach can say to make a player make a play in a big moment.
I’m sick of the “fire DVH it’s time to move on narrative.” You sound dumb, entitled, and like you think you’re smarter than DVH. A lot of fans think they’re entitled to Vitello, or some other elite coach. We are who we are because of DVH not in spite of DVH. #WPS
@Stewhog Wait, in 2022 we had a 1-1 start (lost to OSU on Saturday night) and then won the regional and almost made it to finals in Omaha. Am I misunderstanding your tweet?
In case you didn't know how important today's game is...
In each of the last 16 regionals Arkansas played in, its fate was based on the first 2 games.
They started 2-0 nine times: Won all nine regionals.
They failed to start 2-0 seven times: Eliminated in all seven regionals.
James Talarico: “I’m a Christian and I think there is no more dangerous form of government than theocracy. The only thing worse than a tyrant is a tyrant who thinks they’re on a mission from God. This is people trying to use my religion to control people”
An old, but apt fable:
A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character." @Wikipedia
Perhaps the Age of Trump has amplified the idea of “It will all work out so don’t worry.” It may take a true economic depression to shock people back to reality.
I’m surprised by how little attention basic fiscal policy issues are getting in 2026 compared to fifteen years ago — the case for freaking out about the budget deficit has gotten way stronger since Covid.

I don’t think it’s possible to put into words what @CoachDeifel has done with the @RazorbackSB program. That team was TERRIBLE when she took over. Now, they’re on their way to OKC for the first time — and did it in style, with five run-rules in five games.
