Derby Injuries and what the common denominator is imo.
Its controversial and long but bear with it:
During 2016 -17 season Hull City lost 2289 playing days as a result of injuries throughout their squad. The Premier league average that season was 1410 lost days per squad.
Hull City stood out as a severe outlier in terms of injury severity and duration. Their average length of absence per injury was far higher than the league norm, keeping key squad members sidelined for extended periods (Source Researchgate). Rob Price was Head of Medical.
During Rob Price's six years (2012-2018) overseeing medical operations, Hull City endured a series of severe, long-term injuries to key squad figures (Hull Live)
He then moved to Leeds and was there for 6 years...guess what....
In the 2021-22 season Leeds consistently led the Premier League injury table throughout the season. At various points, 8 to 10 senior players were out simultaneously, with extended absences for Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Junior Firpo, Luke Ayling, and Stuart Dallas.
Injuries were attributed to Bielsa's training by...Rob Price.
Over 6 years at Leeds over 200 separate time-loss injuries were logged across the first team during his 6 seasons in charge. Bamford was out for 380 days and he found out later his injury was misdiagnosed. Kalvin Philips lost 115 days....soft muscle injury.
He then moved to Derby in 2024..

I haven't made this up, the info is available on the Internet.
When Pearce said a review was done, it was done internally...with the medical team. Nothing like marking your own homework.
I have sat on this info for over a year because I didn't want to point fingers at individuals and also because the club said it would be doing a review.
I expected that review to be conducted by an independent body.
Perhaps bringing in people from the US or Italy where they have the best medical and sports science people.
I am so hacked off with our injury record and the impact its having on the club that I had to share my info.
I am happy to be challenged but just looking at the facts I can only conclude that there is a common denominator.
