Great read on Central Brooklyn's changing demographics. I'll say this: it's definitely not what it used to be in a lot of neighborhoods. https://t.co/Pnm7xFg4EF
@MaileOnX@CodyVoyles@briantylercohen@TaylorLorenz@WIRED Actually, just checked the article. It's from VICE. It 100% doesn't say that and that that's the message they interpreted is astoundingly dumb. https://t.co/MOLSgPCyPq
@MaileOnX@CodyVoyles@briantylercohen@TaylorLorenz@WIRED The New York Times, with its deep pockets, published fake articles from Jayson Blair and Bari Weiss. It's completely possible for Wired, although backed by Conde Nast, would have this just go through without proper fact checking.
If I've said it once, I've said it hundreds of times: Ritchie Torres is an absolute bozo.
How the fuck did he even become a US representative? He's only there for a cash-grab. He's an absolute embarrassment to Boricuas. Throw tomatoes at this man while they're still in the cans.
@AnthonyEsolen@gaslightyourmom I'm not sure what your point is anymore. My original point still stands that this will lead to denser housing. Being single doesn't mean less people if more 1Br units are built and occupied by them.
@AnthonyEsolen@gaslightyourmom That's still density. In Tokyo, a city of about 25 million, ~40% are single-occupant homes. That's about 3 million people or so. You're telling me Tokyo isn't densely populated?
@Tacitus1@Deepfryguy76@realrobdurden Or change it, after the fact. These are just legal rules, not an inherent force of nature. By design they're made to be changed.
@AnthonyEsolen@gaslightyourmom Where's the wastefulness? Higher density means more of the land is left to be natural. And why do you think living in a highly dense area equates to being antisocial? You'd think living alone in the sticks is way more antisocial.
@AnthonyEsolen@gaslightyourmom Sounds like those zoning laws are preventing the construction for the new norm in the US and should be removed. We are in agreement.
@Tacitus1@Deepfryguy76@realrobdurden You would still have the option to sell and move, which is your right with your land. But you shouldn't have any power over how others use the land they own.
