@BarstoolHubbs 2 strikes on Kwan in the 8th were called a ball, resulted in Thomas and Noel coming up in the 9th. Can’t miss those calls so frequently this series… This one brought Weaver into the game early & cost the game.
@AshleyRodon@Jomboy_ this brought Weaver into the game in the 8th and inevitably brought Thomas and Noel up to the plate in the 9th…
These missed strike calls made a huge difference in this game.
@TalkinYanks If Judge can get going in the 3 spot I think keeping Rizzo in the bottom of the order would be more valuable.
Gives Torres and Soto opportunities with runners on if Volpe and Rizzo can stay productive in the bottom of the order.
@Jomboy_ Wells’ last at bat had some pretty good swings there.
Theory - with Judge potentially getting in a groove, Wells possibly gets going. Would it be better to keep Volpe and Rizzo at the bottom of the order to be productive and continue to have some traffic for Torres & Soto?
@Jomboy_ Can you look at how many pitches were missed against the Yankees and the Royals this game & this series?
I’ve seen 8 in the box score, 6 against the Yankees without looking at every at bat.
@Jomboy_ Hopefully Yankees capitalize on RISP moving forward in the playoffs. Walks are great but 2 for 13 might not cut it moving forward.
Opposing pitching isn’t always going to bail you out.
