Perfectly said. There are no worker shortages in a market economy. Modern immigration is just foreign aid for the third world via remittances and labor subsidies for wealthy corporations.

Without immigration they would have to pay Americans market value which is determined by what the workers are willing to be paid for doing that job. If no one will do the job at that wage, the corporation is required to increase wages until they find an American who says yes.

With immigration, corporations and their lackeys in government can unilaterally decide what the market value is by increasing the number of third world immigrants you have to compete with. So instead of increasing wages to meet American worker requirements, Microsoft can just bring in Vikrum from Hyderabad who will do it for whatever price Microsoft wants.

Immigration is for all practical purposes a tax on American workers and a tax break for corporations. An immigration moratorium would result in Americans getting the biggest raise of their lives.
