Durant High School has a new girls basketball head coach.

Brian Kader was approved by the district's school board Monday.

Kader comes to the Lady Lions program from Okemah where his team finished 22-8 during the past season and advanced to the area tournament in Class 2A.

The Durant Independent School District board voted unanimously today to rename the high school gym "The Robinson Family Gymnasium".

The unveiling will be Friday night, February 13th during the home basketball date versus Tahlequah.
