Done with the naked birds - loved the opportunity to fly this Global fresh out of maintenance. Bit of a rough start as she hadn’t flown in a month and a half - letting them sit is the worst thing you can do to a Global. Gremlins and cobwebs shook off and we flew!
@Ehuck814@Bombardier Agreed…the legacy Gulfstreams had it too - they stood high on their gear and looked commanding. The Globals have always looked stately and elegant.
It’s the second naked (all white, no stripes) Global I’ve flown in the last 6 months. Also, the oldest Global I’ve flown. Still a true pleasure that never gets old!
@octal@octal in my experience, I have found that in comparison to fractional and jet cards, owning an aircraft is the more efficient and cost effective way to go once you cross 300 hrs per year.
That little guy top center was a show stopper today. That’s our ESI (Elec Stby Inst.) which is the one flt inst. that works if we had a complete electrical failure. Looks like it works, you say…it did with the APU on, but failed on batt power alone. Flight scrubbed…
1/2 Wichita needs to review their priorities. Landed on @AmericanAir 35 mins ago. Still waiting to park. Capt says he’s been told theres only one ramp crew working & they’re handling a delayed flight b4 they can work us. This happens a lot! @FlyICT@LilyWuKansas
