If you’re on the defensive side, your team needs to obtain possession in order for it to count. Offensive it can get a bit more complicated because of tip-ins or tip-in attempts

@dagrayelephant @rhall__23 @PropBomb @nickthepicker In the end it does come down to a judgement call but that is nowhere near a controlled tip. Bazley is fighting for the rebound and he has no intent to tip it to his teammate. Not the same situation.

@JReyes192 @rhall__23 @PropBomb @nickthepicker No, the rules state if there’s a foul then it becomes a team rebound. Giannis controlled the tip yes, but nobody got possession of the ball. Had he tipped it to someone different story but ball was still in the air when a foul was called hence team rebound.
