Letitia Wright is once again speaking openly about the role Jesus Christ plays in her life, saying faith became her foundation during some of her darkest and most uncertain seasons.
In a recent interview, the Black Panther star shared that she first turned seriously toward God in her early 20s while her career was rapidly growing. Although success surrounded her externally, she described life internally as chaotic and empty until she found stability in Christ.
Wright said that even today she continues navigating seasons of transformation and self-discovery, but believes her relationship with God is what carries her through life’s pressures and uncertainty.
“It’s been beautiful to have my faith in Jesus, which is worth more than anything,” she shared.
The actress also revealed she has been encouraged by some people to stop speaking publicly about Jesus, but she says her faith is not something she can separate from the rest of her life.
According to Wright, she is not trying to force beliefs onto others — she simply refuses to hide the One she credits with helping her survive emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.
“I probably wouldn’t be alive right now if it wasn’t for Jesus,” she said.
That conviction has also influenced her career decisions. In 2020, Wright launched her production company, 3.16 Productions, named after John 3:16, with a vision of creating meaningful stories shaped by faith and purpose.
Her testimony resonates with many believers because it reflects a reality countless people experience privately:
Success alone does not heal emptiness.
Fame alone does not provide peace.
And platforms alone cannot carry the weight of the human soul.
For Wright, that anchor became Christ.

WWE legend The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) has publicly spoken about returning more deeply to his Christian faith later in life.
In interviews after his retirement, Calaway shared that his wife, Michelle McCool, a Christian, played a major role in leading him back toward Christ and strengthening his faith. Through their marriage, prayer, and shared values, faith became more central in his life.
As he stepped away from wrestling and reflected on mortality, family, and purpose beyond fame, Calaway described belief in Jesus Christ as a grounding force that reshaped how he lives off-screen.
