@jpottingaround Which is 25% of the cap.
Here you got a guy that you could get for less of that but we are doubling down because of a previous season blunder?
I truly think the Jazz are making a mistake here. The FO is willingly shooting themselves in the foot.
@jpottingaround I fully agree with this. I think Walker's true value is very much hidden due to the Jazz' direction the last few years.
Walker has had better but very similar production to Rudy even on a lower minute average. Still Rudy got a rookie max extension out of it.
@ArtTakesNote They definitely blundered here, The extension in hindsight should've been done in the prior offseason.
I don't believe in the report that a side is stonewalling here because a QO hasn't been tendered yet(like with Mark Williams)
I think after how the Draft plays out, we'll see
@McCadeP8 I think you worded this wrong. As a prospect you mean as all of them are high draft picks.
We have a handful of players more talented than Enes I can tell you that much.
Wizards star Trae Young plans to decline his $48.97 million player option for the 2026–27 season to become a FA on Monday, sources. Washington remains the front runner for the four-time NBA All-Star as he loves the team and DC, but he still expects multiple team max interest.
@dannythebaer Nobody should expect any sort of logical thinking capabilities from a wizards fan.
The apron exists in the current CBA so teams have try to be cautious with their cap as much as they can.
But Dude here for sure doesnt believe that the apron exists because he cant see it.
When Cam Boozer is talked about with the Jazz’s second pick, why does the conversation default to his fit with Lauri and JJJ right now instead of his fit with Keyonte and Ace in 3-5 years?
@jwalker_sports Lots of people dont understand the nuances of RFA. I don't think lots go that deep into understanding the aprons either.
Efficient non max rookie players will always have to go through this process whether they and their agent wants to or not.
"I'm hearing that [LeBron's] likely coming back [to the Lakers]. ... Kevin Love could likely be joining the Lakers too."
@MarcJSpears gives some insight on what could be next for LeBron 🏀
Walker Kessler via IG:
“I've seen what's being said, and I want it to be clear that I have always wanted to be here - I love this city, these fans, my teammates, my coaches — that's real to me. You don't grow roots where you don't want to be”
Utah loves you too Kess. Let’s go!!
@TuskedUp Exactly. Too emotional and reactionary. Walker doesnt want to be a patsy and take a pay cut way below his projected value. I think Jazz fans need to deal with it like with any non-max RFA.
@gawbaey If anybody is actually Angry at Walker for this, they need an actual crash course regarding Restricted free agency. He doesn't owe anybody anything for playing the game the same game the Jazz FO is playing.
Ace Dybantsa (AJ’s dad) texted Brian Windhorst a picture of a Jazz shirt and Wizards shirt. They are expecting him to go within the top-2 picks.
Everyone on the podcast agreed they don’t see AJ Dybantsa falling past Utah at #2.
@getsit Regardless I see the Jazz matching any offer and deal with it in the future.
Lots of Jazz twitter react emotionally. Its already pretty clear this team has a short window before the apron demon closes in. The Jazz arent the only ones that will have this problem.
