@jeanphilippedr1@paulsen_smw You’ve clearly never watched the Hall of Fame Game. There is far less than 11 minutes of action.
And I don’t watch it. Because sports are stupid. Like you.
Turn off the TV and read a book.
@jeanphilippedr1@paulsen_smw My comment was clearly about the American television audience, not the world audience, which will indeed have very low ratings for the next 3 years and 11 months.
I will not call you a dumb troll, as you’re clearly just dumb, unable to follow conversational context.
@Bigmac161616@tigers Agree. I had high hopes when he started but there is something a bit too cringey for me with all his jokes. Just bring back Mario already.
@mulvihill79 I love how all sports viewing numbers are up once we started counting everyone eating in a restaurant or bar with that one TV on in the corner that nobody actually pays attention to.
@Swoosh283@paulsen_smw@ClayTravis Honestly, it won’t change a thing. He always compares it to the 35M viewers in the Jordan years.
5th highest in last 10 years is certainly not bad numbers, but not earth-shattering either. He’ll just declare it more of the same.
@i11m4t1c@chuckles576@RGIII If Indiana taxpayers want to give you $1B, I can’t blame the Bears for saying yes. I can’t blame the taxpayers of Illinois for not wanting to spend that much.
Play anywhere you want, life goes on. It’s always 70 degrees with a zero-minute commute to my couch.
@marck_sousa@TVGrimReaper But I really, really like my Me-TV, Cosi, H&I, Buzzr, and Antenna TV sub-channels. Can we keep transmitting those and just turn off ABC and other “Big” networks?
@PaxOmnibusDET@paulsen_smw I think you may be right. My mom would occasionally watch sports if she flipped by it, but now she’d probably just watch a Two And a Half Men repeat on a local channel instead.
@paulsen_smw Not sure how accurate, but an article I read had J at 9M, WoF at 8M. Family Feud at 7M. Judge Judy at 5.5M. 52 weeks a year. It’s quietly huge numbers. Numbers can be parsed different ways, but there’s certainly an argument that this is the biggest TV outside of football.
@paulsen_smw The 1994 NBA Finals in New York. What were the ratings for game 5 that year? Everyone was watching a white Bronco. What a wild moment that was.
