@SallyMayweather How are those even close to the same? Wanting a government that supports citizens while the march against an administration that is grabbing as much power as possible AT THE EXPENSE of citizens is a democratic duty imo
@piersmorgan A) Who conducted and funded this survey?
B) What were the questions?
C) In today’s climate of rising hostility towards trans people lead by the current administration, it’s not surprising they not going to self identify as something other than gender assigned at birth
@Fynnderella1 Because immigrants who become American citizens are allowed to run for office. Congress is for the people, by the people, right? And all groups should be represented. Other than President, it shouldn’t matter where you were born, just that you did the work to become a citizen.
@megynkelly Could have happened during Biden’s term if Trump and Benji hadn’t colluded to benefit their political ambitions: ruining the world to maintain power they don’t deserve
@smashbaals The Pilgrams were deemed TOO RADICAL by the Church of England. That’s why they fled. We should ever go back to that type of puritan society. Also, it wasn’t America yet. Over 100 years passed and we evolved before becoming a proper country. #revisionisthistory
@BasedMikeLee I would be on board with a functioning government who could agree on fiscal appropriations for long term goals that benefit the American people. Anything that should be run by the government that is prioritized gets eaten by capitalism. Ex: healthcare and education
@MilaLovesJoe Or we could stop letting private equity buy family homes and apartment complexes and jack up the rent. Or we could stop building “luxury” apartments and provide a better mix of housing types. So many other answers than deporting legitimate visa holders. GFY
@LaboratoryMan6@DavidRedrum4102@HonestYPTweets Don’t you see how restrictive that is? No one is saying you can’t continue to preach & convert people to that way of life, but we can’t GOVERN that way. If that ideology starts making—or repealing—laws forcing others to live that way, that’s when I worry. & it’s already happening
@LaboratoryMan6@DavidRedrum4102@HonestYPTweets never said there wasn’t a God. Grew up catholic & continue to believe in the Holy Trinity. Just don’t care if my neighbor does & won’t judge others if they don’t. I want a country that works for EVERYONE no matter religion, race, gender, sexuality, etc
Nationalism can’t do that.
@LaboratoryMan6@DavidRedrum4102@HonestYPTweets This right here is a great example. Totally fine you believe that, but so many Americans don’t and as a country we cannot be “ruled” by this edict.
You can absolutely live by a moral code without religion, it’s called being a good person.
Good people want what’s best for all
@DavidRedrum4102@LaboratoryMan6@HonestYPTweets Progress in this country has already been slowed significantly by Christian groups refusing to evolve and let people live the way they want to live, like every Christian child can’t no how the real world works or something. Nationalists want to reverse all of that progress. Scary
@DavidRedrum4102@LaboratoryMan6@HonestYPTweets And a ruling law based on THEIR interpretation of the bible—homosexuality is a sin, women should be subservient to men, etc. To me, that is Christian Nationalism and if it comes to power in a real way, how is it different than Shariah Law?
@scrowder Just because Disney lifted the suspension doesn’t mean that what the FCC chair and President Trump did last week wasn’t out of the authoritarian/fascist playbook.
Disney and ABC didn’t cave, they said no to state run censorship.
@LaboratoryMan6@HonestYPTweets But what about separation of church and state and freedom of religion? Two things that are supposed to be guaranteed in the constitution. How does that work with a nation ruled by Christian principles?
@HonestYPTweets 100% untrue. Only Christians who want their religion to dictate how we run this country are considered Christian Nationalists. Let’s also add in anyone who uses the teachings of Christ to spread hate or fear towards non-white groups and immigrants.
