@Byron_D11 That's what I am trying to get at. Late round picks have skewed this data. Late round picks are rarely successful and likely (I suspect) North American. Making it look like Europeans are more likely to be successful picks. I wonder what this chart looks like by round of the draft
@Byron_D11@ByronMBader I have zero numbers to back it up, but I suspect most late round picks are North American guys as teams draft for AHL depth and Europeans are less likely to play in that league long term. This would lower NA success rate.
@ByronMBader@PinderReport Your model is flawed though. By looking at career 0.8 ppg players you're excluding guys who were stars in their prime but then fell off and dropped their career ppg. Like Tanguay for example.
