Yesterday I realized how much music means to me;;

In late 2020, I dropped out of college because of a professor who tried to SA me… I was traumatized… I left my passions behind because every time I got in a recording booth, I had panic attacks… My dream was to be a singer and share my voice and my love for music with the world. And when I was so close, someone told me that some of my classmates who I trusted and my favorite professor at the time were planning to get me drunk and give me “the industry special”… I was disgusted, hurt, and scared… so I left it all behind. For my on safety I left my dream college, my home and I shoved my dreams into a box and only did covers as personal projects for myself.

last year, in 2025, I released my cover of Villain as my debut, as a gift for my community, thanks to my friends who kept motivating me to do so. And I felt that spark again… Later that year, my best friend and I decided to cover Everything Goes On. We made a whole AU where we were Star Guardians… and I’m being so real, that was it for me. I felt that joy and excitement again… (Spade, thank you…🩷)

So I tried… I had neglected my voice for years and it kinda hurts to sing sometimes since I was so out of practice… (the years of yapping and screaming don’t help), but I’m getting back to where I used to be…

Last month, I met someone who has grown very close to me, and we share the same passion for music and production, and I’m starting to feel like my old self again… passionate and happy. I forgot the feeling of creating and sharing… My friend Neutroa and I are cooking something huge🩷I won’t spoil what it is, although I’m itching to share what we already have. But sitting writing lyrics, doing takes, mixing vocals ughhh how it fills my soul up…

I’m sobbing while writing this, but I wanna go back in time and give younger Allura a hug and tell her everything will be okay. And to all my friends, thank you for supporting me and loving the little demos and covers I’ve done… to my imps thank you for hyping me up when I sing on stream…
I love you all… and it feels good to be back… it feels good to like me again… (´；ω；`)🦇🩷
