As the original director of R-TYPE III, I would like to share my thoughts regarding the current situation.
I am deeply concerned about the state in which the product was released.
While I welcome the fact that corrections are now being made, this product has already been released and sold as a paid product.
At this stage, effectively conducting another QA process with the help of paying customers seems inappropriate. Releasing a version containing so many issues and then relying on purchasers to identify and verify fixes does not feel like a sincere response from a company responsible for the release.
Would it not be more appropriate to suspend sales, offer refunds to existing customers, and continue QA for as long as necessary until the major issues have been resolved? The product could then be re-released once it reaches an acceptable level of quality.
I believe such an approach would be a more honest and respectful way to treat the fans who have supported this title.

【The "Hairdryer" in R-TYPE】
In Stage 1 of the original R-TYPE, there is a strange object that looks like it is about to do something, and it almost looks like a hairdryer.
In fact, that was a gimmick that ended up unfinished because we ran out of time.
The planner ABIKO told me, "You can make Stage 1 however you like, including the boss," so I wanted to create a small highlight before the boss.
As shown in the video, I wanted to have the scrolling stop when the hairdryer blocking your path appeared on screen, and then have the player endure for a certain amount of time.
Basically, I wanted to do something like the famous "volcano" sequence in Gradius.
As a Gradius freak, I felt that there should be a difficult section like that before the boss.
But I was too busy to make it work, so it was left untouched and ended up becoming nothing more than a mysterious obstacle.

The TakeOver - 1CC/Hardest/NoDeaths Ethan Rivers
I went back to play this game again and give it a fair shot.. it's actually a solid beatemup but has some flaws, thoughts in description
Heretic 2 got a brand new reverse engineered source port for modern systems featuring bug fixes, faster loading times and hud scaling for high resolutions. Playing Heretic 2 just became a lot easier.
Arcade and PCB shop "Messe Sanoh II" in Akihabara, 1992. This is WHY I love reading, without a doubt this is my favorite material, this seems priceless to me.
Bogey Manor (WIP) is an obscure and rare arcade game designed by #Technos in 1985, running on DECO hardware.
Fritz fights his way through a haunted mansion filled with ghosts and monsters across multiple floors with your help!

I really loved seeing the Street Fighter II stage concept art at the Capcom Creations exhibit. The inventor of graph paper is secretly one of the most important people in gaming history.
windows 11 is just like a vm running on a thin windows 10 hypervisor. too much legacy junk under the hood and a shell that’s basically a website running in a borderless window.
the win11 shell is just an electron app and it can’t handle vertical orientation without crashing the entire display driver.
win10 taskbar being resizable in 26H1 is because it’s the only part of the os that actually respects the manifest file. win11 taskbar ignores it because it’s not even a real win32 app.
microsoft developers forget to delete the old code before shipping the new one, that's what happens when you use too much of ai to write your code.
microsoft claims win11 is more secure. then why does it still rely on the win10 ribbon ui binaries for file operations in 26H1? if it was a real os, they would have ported everything to rust by now.
fun fact: the only reason 26H1 hasn't deleted the legacy win10 code is because the entire office 365 installer still relies on the old shell hooks to show progress bars. if they deleted the "buggy" old code, you literally couldn't install excel. the world's most "advanced" os is being held hostage by its own spreadsheet software.
I started scanning arcade art again, I'll post some of the shrunk jpeg versions, I'm feeling too lazy at the moment to update the archive with 48bit. These are all raw from the scanner with no correction. First up - 4nin-uchu Mahjong Jantotsu, by Sanritsu. I've seen a very clean scan before but it looks like it was adjusted heavily.
I tried using Ghidra a few years ago and always found it lacking compared to IDA, but recently decided to give it another go for an arcade game using a M68000 cpu and it can actually create the pseudo code for it, something IDA doesn't do for M68K. It's growing on me.
To unlock the 1-hit death mode and Competition mode. Hover over the difficulty selection in the operator menu and enter:
P2: Hold start
P1: B2, B4, B3, B2
So here's my Hardest +2 Difficulty clear of Oriental Legend 2 https://t.co/sxfmsiy2ul
To unlock this difficulty, hover over the 'Difficulty' option in the operator menu and enter:
P1: Hold Start
P2: B1, B4, B1, B3, B2, B2
I just reverse engineered Shen Jian's secret difficulty password. Hover over the difficulty selection in the operator menu.
Hold P1 Start while inputting:
Player 2: Button 2, Button 2, Button 2, Button 1, Button 2, Button 3.
This will enable "Hardest" and "Hardest+1"
Reverse engineering Shen Jian (The Gladiatror) has been a bit tougher than Oriental Legend 2 because it uses both the ARM and M68000 CPU, so trying to find which cpu and memory space controls the function for the difficulty passcode has me taking more time.
@System11b@discord I know it's easy to say dont use it but everyone uses that piece of garbage. Alternatively you can just run it in a browser rather than use the executable, at least then it shouldn't be able to scan your drive, at least I don't think.
