In Iraq, I stood in a tower directing aircraft while unaware that one of the world’s oldest Christian communities lived in the shadows below—Assyrian brothers and sisters speaking Aramaic, the language of Jesus. My new piece in @Plough explores how fear shaped what I saw (and didn’t see), the cost of war on ancient faith communities, and my reckoning years later. What blind spots do we carry in conflicts today?

@prolibertypod It is designed to abuse our fear and control us. Even when presented in the best possible manner, it’s still built upon principles of fear and control.

Honestly. The biggest problem in the career field is staffing.
We need more people. We knew years before this happened we would end up here and no one did anything to fix it.
Well staffed and trained facilities is the ultimate fix. Technology even AI based solutions won’t fix the problem if we don’t have the people.
@laurelworlds It’s a balancing act. Automation is great and very helpful. But you have to be mindful to build the skills and habits that automation supplements.
If you start relying on automation as the main tool it compromises safety.
@beinlibertarian That shouldn’t be true. But in a crony capitalist system they are in a large part a cause for inflation a laws that exploit the poor and middle class.
