The number of people who die to gun violence is negligible in a country with over ~350,000,000 people. If we have guns, people will die to gun. If we have cars, planes, knives, fire, plumbing, vending machines, dogs, etc. then people will die to those things.

I reject any and all solutions to this minor inconvenience that add more bureaucracy, surveillance, and general government involvement. Here’s what we should do:

- Basic background check every year.
- Teach gun safety while young, bring back high school gun clubs.
- 20 round magazine limit.
- Make castle doctrine, constitutional carry, and stand your ground laws federal across all states.
- No permits, no licenses, just an on site BG check and payment.
- Disbar violent felons from possession.
- Year round gun buy-backs for anyone to willingly fork over their old and/or unused firearms for cash.
- National psy-op campaign to paint gang bangers and other gun toting inbreds as worse than Adolf Hitler so the public doesn’t emulate them.
- Train police in mostly de-escalation techniques and require them to have an associates in either law or criminal justice + an extra year or two of academy to prevent police violence.
