If you cannot consistently go beyond that threshold you won’t rank up. keeping lower skilled players out of higher ranks (in theory). “Are you stupid” - someone incapable of discussion

Bus fare promotes longevity and punishes you for not meeting the standard set of that rank. If you can never lose points then the top rank is flooded with people who shouldn’t be there.
