Druski says Drake’s call to appear in “Laugh Now Cry Later” changed his life 🙏❤️

In a recent appearance on @thediaryofaceopodcast Druski reflected on how the opportunity gave his career a major boost. Before the video, he was building an audience through comedy online. Drake’s co-sign introduced him to a much wider audience and helped open new doors.

Released in 2020, “Laugh Now Cry Later” also featured Lil Durk, with appearances from Druski and several athletes. Looking back, Druski said he still can’t believe Drake took a chance on him.

Tyler, The Creator really turned A$AP Rocky’s viral Rolling Loud moment into a cake 😭😂

Four years ago today, Rocky jumped into the crowd during his headlining set at Rolling Loud New York and quickly became surrounded by fans. A screenshot of his distressed expression went viral, and Tyler immediately joined the jokes by making it his Instagram profile picture.

Tyler then took it even further by having the image printed onto a cake for Jasper Dolphin’s birthday 💀

Rocky eventually embraced the moment and recreated it for one of his music video. He later explained that Tyler and Pharrell helped lift his spirits after the show and made it easier for him to laugh about everything.

One stage dive became a meme, a profile picture, a birthday cake and part of a music video 😭

On this day 13 years ago, Drake released his third studio album, “Nothing Was the Same” 🥲💿

This footage captures Drake recording “Pound Cake” while reading his lyrics directly from a BlackBerry, a perfect time capsule from a completely different era of music.

Released on September 24, 2013, “Nothing Was the Same” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling 658,000 copies in its first week. The album delivered classics including “Tuscan Leather,” “Furthest Thing,” “Started From the Bottom,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” “From Time,” “Too Much” and “Pound Cake / Paris Morton Music 2” featuring JAY-Z.

The project has since been certified 7× Platinum in the United States and remains one of the defining albums of Drake’s career and the entire 2010s.

Chief Keef returned to perform at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island last night, September 23, bringing his music back to the city where his career began.

His relationship with Chicago officials has a complicated history. In 2015, then-Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office called him an “unacceptable role model” while opposing a planned charity performance via hologram. The city asked the venue not to host the event, and Keef faced years of obstacles to performing locally.

He returned to the Chicago area for Summer Smash in Bridgeview in 2024 and made a recent guest appearance with Ye at Soldier Field. This latest show gave Sosa his own headlining homecoming inside Chicago.

From a teenager helping put Chicago drill on the map to returning as one of its most influential artists, this moment carries a lot of history ❤️

Keef once shared a photo of a wall-mounted TV, an Xbox and a controller positioned directly across from the toilet while Destiny was running on the screen. His explanation was only two words: “Why not” 💀

Years later, the idea went even further. In March 2023, designer Colourfulmula shared footage of Sosa creating music in a bathroom equipped with a laptop, speaker and beat machine. Keef could be seen testing chords and working on a beat beside the shower and toilet.

Chief Keef has always been heavily involved in gaming and music production, but combining everything inside the bathroom was next-level efficiency. From playing Destiny to making beats without ever leaving the room… Sosa was living in 2050 😭💯

Judge Martin S. Fein is expected to review pending motions and whether both sides have complied with his August 27 order regarding motions to suppress evidence.

These proceedings concern what evidence may be admitted at the retrial and other outstanding legal matters. The scheduled hearing does not itself indicate a verdict or a release decision.

Drake getting Kawhi Leonard to join a music video boy band is still hilarious 😭😂

Back in September 2021, Kawhi made a surprise appearance in the “Way 2 S***” video alongside Drake, Future and Young Thug. Dressed in matching white outfits, the four delivered their own take on a classic boy band scene, with Kawhi’s straight face making the moment even funnier.

Directed by Dave Meyers, the video leaned into comedy, referencing everything from workout videos to romance novel covers. The group’s coordinated outfits and desert setting nodded to music videos by the Backstreet Boys and Boyz II Men. Kawhi joining in was easily one of its most unexpected moments.

The track appeared on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album, but this cameo deserves its own place in the memories from that era. Somebody needs to explain what the conversation was like when they asked Kawhi to do this 😭🏀
