@Noze2222 So at best for your interpretation, even someone working on the game thought "this is meant to be UNUSED" and translated it as such without Mr. Fox going back to change it. At worst, Mr. Fox literally said "make this resemble UNUSED" and that's why it's like that.

@Noze2222 Mr. Toby Fox has shown off parts of his localization practice being that he puts every line into a spreadsheet, explains the meaning/cultural references, and often provides suggestions for parts he knows would work in JP with his own knowledge of the language.

Honestly Ibuki survivor feels like one of the strongest picks. She sorta feels perfect for it. The only wrinkle is that a lot of the other characters I could imagine surviving are also girls and DR generally doesn't stray too far from a gender balance of, like, 2-3
