@ertuh2782 Idk what source this is but it's false to say the opposition had aid for the march 1992 coup attempt. Umar Avtorkhanov was literally in Moscow begging for aid when it started. The only one who provided any help was individually Khasbulatov, and in small quantities.
@ertuh2782 Yeah the org whose job it is to protect national security disliked a bunch of separatists seizing power and created a lawless bandit country, the beheadings was just a final straw. No state in the world would tolerate that.
But for a degenerate subhuman like you that's fine.
@GlobolusHomulus@ertuh2782@3days2Kiev Yes as opposed to the radical salafists who enslaved, beheaded and tortured people for not being Muslim enough. I'm sure they treated gay people just fine.
@GlobolusHomulus@ertuh2782@3days2Kiev Bro you genuinely have no idea what you are talking about. Kadyrov was on the separatist side in the first war lol. He only switched in 1999.
@ertuh2782 Russian aid for the opposition didn't begin until after the beheadings. Russia's main ally was Avturkhanov, who was a veteran policeman trying to restore law and order. Labazanov was mostly helped by Khasbulatov.
Also civil war began in 93 with Dudayev massacring theatre square.
@wiggywigger@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev I don't care about the baltics not being friendly to Russia, I just stated the fact that they being "friendly" to Russia post 1991 until crimea is just a lie.
Whether you personally find that good or bad is irrelevant. OP lied.
@ertuh2782@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev I'd love for you to explain how recognition would've prevented Chechnya from being a lawless hellhole . And yeah, when you have an insurrectionary para-state committing mass murder and beheading their political enemies, that's a pretty good reason to support the opposition.
@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev Yeah because I'm sure Chechnya was just a paradise for gay people pre-Kadyrov.
Also all of this is besides the original point. The baltics have never been "friendly" with RF post 1991, even though Russia has literally done nothing to them in that time
@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev He had that chance between 1991-3, yet for some reason it became a lawless bandit country whose separatist parliament and supreme court he dispersed with his thugs. He literally started a civil war, but I'm sure either would be "stable"
@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev Just factually untrue, Dudaev openly talked about wanting to implement Sharia after the war finished but was killed before he had the chance.

Also bombing innocents is still terrorism even if you're not doing it for Islam
@GlobolusHomulus@3days2Kiev Estonia literally funded Chechen separatists and it's parliament condemned the killing of a mass murdering terrorist hostage taker.
I wouldn't call that "friendly"
Whenever I read about how German food in America was renamed during WWI or French fries renamed after France refused to support the Iraq invasion, I thought it was too ridiculous to be true and there's no way that would still happen today.
Colour me surprised ever since 2022
1. Today in Parliament I raised the growing concern over “Masha and the Bear” a Russian cartoon streamed to British children on Netflix and ITVX, and flagged by Ukraine’s Centre for Countering Disinformation as a Russian soft power tool.
I called on the Leader of the House to secure a statement from the Secretary of State for DCMS on what the Government intends to do.
Under communism we are keeping the Canadian Victims of Communism memorial that had to remove all the names because that is the funniest thing that ever happened.
@dz_Abeer The strength of the Ukrainian far right is not in its electoral success, it's in the fact they can kill, assault, kidnap etc. without any consequences. In fact they regularly forced local parliaments to pass their preferred budgets at gunpoint.
