@sturae229 @Llama_Bin_Wild I think we're on the same lines tbh. My ideal would be - frees or smaller fees under 20m on players being bombed out by "big clubs" on players (27-31)
And larger fees (30m+) on younger players with high potential.

@sturae229 @Llama_Bin_Wild Yeah I don't disagree but I think the goal is probably- competitive short term and grow the brand so we can longer term plan later. I could be wrong but it just feels that way, and in the next few years hope that the 2/3 young players they keep adding improve.

@sturae229 @Llama_Bin_Wild I think it's a difficult balancing act isn't it. They need to stay competitive, and younger players bring inconsistent performances normally. My best guess is maybe 3 players who are "ready now" (27-31) frees/unwanted at other clubs and a couple who are younger (18-20)

All the posts and articles are just part of the theater to generate money for companies. Jacob is hardly driving the deal , he's just doing his job.

@Alex_Berwick I think it's on an overall level rather than a like for like replacement I believe. Say (hypothetically) Martinez sale would free up big wage space which can be distributed across numerous spaces. Same with Rogers with a large fee.

@KevHughesie It's rubbish having to keep losing our better players.He's been brilliant for us, and would be a useful asset to sell the following season if we're not in CL.
I do back emery to get the best out of players he has but it be a big blow as our second majority goal threat

@Yaann6 @Son_Lyme Yeah world cup an interesting piece of the puzzle isn't it this summer mate.we can't go into the summer with a small squad and most of them not had a break, especially off the back of this season. I'm pretty conscious about that.
