🙌 CHARITY OF THE MONTH 🙌
Our Charity of the Month for September is DEBRA, a national charity supporting people living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a painful and often life-limiting genetic skin condition that causes the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch.
DEBRA supports more than 4,000 people across the UK through specialist care, practical support and community services, while funding vital research into effective treatments and cures. Every donation helps DEBRA continue this essential work and move closer to a world where no one suffers with EB.
Graeme Souness CBE has been a Vice President of DEBRA since 2019 and has played a huge role in raising awareness of EB across the UK. Over the years, he has taken on a number of major fundraising challenges, including swimming the English Channel, while using his platform to shine a spotlight on the condition. During the week commencing 14 September, Graeme will be taking on his latest challenge with the goal of raising £500,000, enough to fund an EB clinical trial that could help bring a potentially life-changing treatment closer for people living with EB. By supporting Graeme's challenge, you can help fund vital care and support today, accelerate research into effective treatments, and bring hope to the EB community.
