Back in 2010 for the Indian press release of the T20 world cup I was alongside Mr @bhogleharsha to unveil the worldcup to the Indian press. I cannot believe that I forgot something so iconic to post when we won the World Cup But I’m not too late as today it’s back home #WorldCup
MMD Mumbai has responded to the long-standing demands of Seafarers by installing centralised AC in Nau bhavan largest examination hall in India. This improvement aims to provide a more comfortable environment for those appearing for competency exams #ExamReforms#SeafarersWelfare
Big Change in Nautical Certificate of Competency Exams
@dgship_goi abolished STAR system. Appear for exams without fear. Cir 16/2024 Issued.
Fresher candidates can book 1 or more subjects of their choice rather than all exams. Cir13/2022 revised.
Written fail, Orals can't appear.
@RoadsOfMumbai What was wrong with the old one in the first place ? Aren’t there any more better things to do? Like we have solved the over crowding of trains and traffic jams right !!! Just saying.
@PrasharSdp @dgship_goi This by far has been the most unfair decision. Captain Saab I will only say that. What is thought and what is done in reality are two different galaxies apart
Ray of Hope
20 Mar 23: I made an Appeal to @dgship_goi to remove star system from Nautical Certificate of Competency Exams held by MMD.
28 Jun 24: I received acknowledgement from @dgship_goi that matter under review.
God pls listen to Seafarers plea and dismiss STAR system.
IMUCET SCAM 🛑🛑
Indian Maritime University recently conducted All India Common Entrance Test on 8th June 2024 . It was found that candidates from one centre was using mobiles in North India . Any press release from IMU,Chennai ? This scam is as equal as NEET SCAM. @PrasharSdp
One visit by opposition leaders exposing the crack developed on approach road of Atal Setu (MTHL). The govt was quick to fix it the same day. Imagine the opposition leaders doing this regularly.
The Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Shipping Corporation of India and Shri Ambika Yog Kuteer, celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day by hosting a special yoga session in hybrid mode.
This year's theme was "Yoga for Self and Society".
Very important question raised by @flyingbeast320 about @dhruv_rathee's control over internet content & conversation.
A primary reason for this is because most of the 10M+ creators have started to treat their loyal audiences as money making machines. Someone is buying a 10 crore farmhouse, another one is selling snake venom while the third one never gets tired of showing off his gold plated iPhone.
While making money is not a sin - most creators have stopped giving a rats ass about the struggles of their core audience. (Who wants to piss off Supreme Leader) That's where Dhruv stepped in and won the trust of Young India - talking about issues that impacts them - rather then showing off a fat-ass rich lifestyle. For the SAME reason creators like Taneja are feeling the pinch - witnessing a massive stagnation in their online growth....cuz their audience is seeing through the fakeness.
While no one expects snake-charmers to make videos on NEET & NTA - its disappointing to note that not a SINGLE PEEP from Gaurav Taneja - an IIT alumnus - on the burning NEET issue. Entrance exams is something he could have taken up with authority - rallied support for lakhs of students - in return he could have gained some trust & goodwill....but that would have taken some balls to do and lots of business risk.
Taneja seems to have chosen the easier option - reduce himself to an godi-influencer who gets arrested for a 'party' & trolls Dhruv Rathee....rather than ask tough questions to the Govt on behalf of his core audience.
Enjoy the loot Taneja, but don't grudge others to choose to matter.
Yes of course, blame the car driver for a bike falling right in front of him. And if that’s the definition of ‘speeding’, god save us all. Literal shit levels of journalism right here folks - slow claps, slow claps!
Indian Exit Examination for all STCW courses is a bad joke by @dgship_goi
Institutes are teaching how to cheat in exams rather than focus on syllabus. DG Shipping should dismiss e-learning and e-exams. E-learning, students use auto flip app. Horrible but no one complain.
Rumour has it that the amount on demand is way north of half a million INR. For the management COC.
This definitely needs immediate attention @PrasharSdp
@PrasharSdp @dgship_goi Another thing which needs urgent attention is the widespread cheating going on in " Online Oral exams".
Students getting calls from private numbers asking for 80-120k for oral passing. Students who refuse getting failed.
Have heard multiple cases from onboard officers.
