I once corrected myself right before pricing.
I told the prospect I had misspoken about what was included.
So I removed value from my own offer.
Why?
Because being accurate mattered more than squeezing every dollar out of the deal.
Trust compounds.
Short-term wins don't.
Most business owners will charge the exact same rate in 2027 that they charged in 2026.
That is not loyalty.
That is a slow-motion pay cut.
Your cost of living went up.
Your software stack went up.
Your skills went up.
Your price stayed flat.
Here is the discipline I run every single year, and what I coach my clients to run:
→ 30 to 60 days before the new year, you send the notice. Not on January 1. Before.
→ The message is simple: it has been great working with you this year, we reassess our rates annually, here is the new rate moving forward, happy to answer any questions.
→ If the results have been there, they will not fight you. If they push back, everything is negotiable except taxes and death. Bring your talking points.
New skills earn a new price.
That is not arrogance, it is math.
But raising rates only works if the foundation is set. Two things have to be true first:
1. Your offer has to be validated. Paid ads scale what already converts. If nothing is converting, ads just burn the budget faster. Crawl, walk, then run.
2. Your ICP has to be surgical. Not "small businesses." Try this instead: physical therapy and chiropractic offices, Southern California, $2M in revenue, 10+ employees, multiple locations. That level of clarity is what turns NOs into YESes.
Visibility + Credibility = Profitability. You need both. Most people only have a visibility problem, and they think it is a pricing problem.
25+ years, $100M+ in trackable revenue, 200+ businesses. The ones who grow every year are the ones who raise rates every year.
When did YOU last raise yours?
"At the end of our lives, we will ask ourselves 4 simple questions: Did I live? Did I love? Did I matter? Did I make a difference? Keep making a difference. Build that mind. Build that body. Build that business. Build that bank account. But most importantly — build that legacy. Stay healthy. Stay hungry. Stay humble. We'll see you at the top!"

Stop trashing your prospect's current vendor.
You don't need to say:
"They're terrible."
Ask:
"Are they reporting on actual leads and revenue?"
Then let the prospect answer.
Good sales doesn't require attacking the competition.
It requires asking better questions.
What could be a better way to start the day than a great chat with the Revenue Ronin Grand Master @JustinRFrench
We be cooking. Also amazing space coming up in 8hrs
Emotion is the most expensive line item in your P&L.
It never shows up on the balance sheet.
25+ years. 200+ businesses. $100M+ in trackable revenue. My worst losses were never strategic.
They were emotional. 🧵
2/ The pattern looks like this:
→ Delaying the rate increase because it feels awkward → Discounting because the client is hurting
→ Not collecting what you are owed
→ Keeping the wrong person because you want to mentor them
Every one feels like kindness.
Every one is a withdrawal.
3/ The reframe:
Emotion belongs in your MARKETING.
That is what moves a buyer.
Discipline belongs in your DECISIONS.
That is what keeps you solvent.
Discipline. Data. Results. No emotion in the sequence.
4/ The 24-Hour Rule.
Before any high-stakes call, wait 24 hours.
Best case. Worst case. Cost of waiting.
Then decide from a clean state. Never inside the spike.
5/ Price the transformation, not the hours.
If AI made you 3X faster, hourly billing punishes you for being good.
Charge the outcome. Then reframe the number: it is an INVESTMENT in architecture, not an expense.
6/ Architecture beats acquisition.
Most companies do not have a lead generation problem.
They have an architecture problem. Leads come in and die in follow-up.
Most never reach full utilization of the stack they already pay for.
7/ And the offer principle from the room today:
If you are convincing, you have already lost.
Build a YES offer. Credit to @JudasPhiGates8
So relevant, so credible, so compelling that the right prospect says yes before you finish the sentence.
8/ We are not in the begging business.
We are in the COMMANDING business.
Command your value. Assert it with conviction. Let them choose.
What decision have you been delaying because of how it feels?

One of the most powerful things you can say on a sales call:
"Take it with a grain of salt."
You don't need to convince someone that everything is broken.
Show them what you found.
Then give them room to think.
People trust you more when they don't feel pushed.
The last month of a quarter is not the time to hide behind planning.
Know your number.
Know your ideal customer.
Know your offer.
Then go have the conversations.
Revenue comes from conversations that move forward.
Go execute.
You don't always need a better pitch.
Sometimes you need better homework.
Before the sales call, find something the prospect doesn't know about their own business.
A broken link.
A missed opportunity.
A leak in the funnel.
Proof beats persuasion.
They can’t break you anymore.
Not after you’ve already been shattered more times than most people would survive.
That’s not the ending.
That’s the moment the masterpiece starts.
We rebuilt the persona from the wreckage.
Stronger.
Bolder.
Obsessed with execution and intelligence; not noise, not hope, not “someday.”
A Ronin on a mission doesn’t ask permission.
Doesn’t wait for the wound to stop hurting.
Doesn’t flinch.
Nothing stops that version of you.
See you at the top. ⚔️
A 90-day agreement can be a better starting point than a 12-month commitment.
It's long enough to prove value.
Short enough for both sides to evaluate the relationship.
And it gives you room to adjust before you're locked into something that doesn't work.
Sell first. Build second.
Don't spend hours creating an offer nobody has agreed to buy.
Validate the offer with real money before investing heavily in delivery.
