1/ #Uber Supreme Court occasional thread: 3 features to limb (b): 1) Contract to do work for another; 2) personally; 3) not in customer relationship. These are the features required by Parliament for entitlement to minimum wage. #ukemplaw
Spain: A new court decision recognizes #Deliveroo’s riders as employees and not as self-employed workers
Enough precariousness of work under the pretext of flexibility!!

@ChristianJPerea @TheRiderUnion@Uber@veenadubal@_drivers_united@GigWorkersRise@DrivingGuild @LorenaAD80 You should show them this from Australia’s company regulator: “We welcome Uber Eats agreeing to remove the statement in its contracts saying it does not provide logistics services, because clearly, in our view they do” https://t.co/OLc0q5GzWx
While Uber loses it licence in London, due to fraud with driver accounts; We see these Uber advertisements in Amsterdam:
"Drivers have all required permits".
Because... Uber (drivers) complying with local regulations is not a given. 🤷♀️
After speaking to a fellow rider today, I have decided to show the world how much @Deliveroo and @WillShuRoo really do consider us cyclists as disposal couriers! One screenshot is of Paul's initial email, the other is Deliveroo's only response, 48 hours later! #ShameOnRoo!
Over three years ago, I started working for a rapidly growing, cycle powered, gig economy food delivery business called @Deliveroo. How did we go from delivering fine food from great restaurants, to delivering tobacco products from 24hr garages?

Just got a text from @Deliveroo that made me fucking roar with laughter in the middle of Tesco. Rider safety is their top priority, so they are paying extra tonight if we ride through an Amber Warning thunderstorm! Is it just me?
Deliveries stacking up, long waiting times for customers, fee boosts and riders coming together on the streets...it can only mean one thing: STRIKE!! 👊🏼
Amazing scenes in #Exeter as @Deliveroo workers say enough is enough!
#RooVolt#ShameOnRoo
Unusually long waiting times and big fee boosts offered to riders in and around Brixton. Whats going on Deliveroo? Just very busy?🤥
The truth: Riders are on strike over poverty wages and poor conditions!! RESPECT TO BRIXTON RIDERS 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
2 strikes on 1 weekend 😛#ShameOnRoo
