Tenía 29.
Yo pensé que era normal, o sea, tipo estrés del trabajo.
Le dije: "Está bien, lo que necesites".
Se fue a casa de su mamá.
Yo me quedé en el depa, pagando todo solo.
Al mes me mandó un mensaje: "Necesito espacio, no me escribas tanto".
Yo: "Ok, te extraño pero respeto".
Pasaron dos meses.
Un día vi en Instagram de un amigo en común.
Ella en una foto con otro tipo.
Abrazados.
En el mismo bar donde íbamos nosotros.
Caption: "Nuevos comienzos 💕".
Me dolió, pero no dije nada.
Seguí mi vida.
Trabajé más.
Salí con amigos.
Empecé a salir con una chica nueva.
Un día me llegó un DM suyo.
"¿Podemos hablar? Te extraño mucho. Fue un error".
Le respondí: "Claro, dime".
Me citó en un café.
Llegó llorando.
"Me di cuenta que él no es como tú. Quiero volver".
Yo la miré.
Tomé un sorbo de café.
Y le dije: "Yo también me di cuenta de algo".
"Que el 'tiempo' que pediste fue para probar otro.
Y cuando no funcionó, volviste corriendo.
Pero yo ya no estoy en pausa".
Se quedó muda.
Yo pagué la cuenta.
Me levanté.
Y me fui sin mirar atrás.
Hoy estoy con una chica que no necesita "tiempos" para saber lo que quiere.
Y cada vez que veo un story de "nuevos comienzos",
me río solo.
Porque a veces el que pide espacio,
solo está buscando dónde caer mejor.
La neta: el que se va por probar,
cuando regresa ya no encuentra puerta abierta.
