@gtVraulis The stories are heavily related so skipping IS isn't the optimal experience. IS is more of a high school drama where rumors come true and EP is centered on adults coming out to play in the aftermath. You can play the two separately if you don't mind missing out on context.

@gtVraulis First time I played Unlimited I made it to the final boss in around 10 hours and was completely annihilated. That realization that you really need to understand and use all the games systems to beat it is the thing that people either love or hate about US.

@ArikGenerick @sparker094 @makhaccino Heads up about Galleria, the second half of the game has multiple 100+ floor simple randomly generated dungeons. Kind of disappointing if you are expecting handcrafted dungeons like in Refrain or the first half of Galleria.

@gtVraulis I think it probably boils down to optics. Ruby fits the upbeat and carefree young female protag archetype to a T. Laura fills the role of the more serious older female protag, so she and Sapphire might have been seen as overlapping in that regard.

i played The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales demo and here are some of my thoughts! i think fans of old Ys games might find something warmly nostalgic about it, even if it's not quite 1:1. but something about the demo scratched that itch for me! i wanna play more! ⚔️

@sparker094 @ArikGenerick True, 8 was way ahead of its time in many aspects. Outside of issues with traversal, like infinitely respawning hordes of enemies and combat speed it is near perfect.

@gtVraulis The new FE and the Xeno announcement put me over the threshold, despite my dislike for the game key card format. With the price increase coming up grabbing it sooner rather than later seems like a good idea.
