@ask_aubry This is not the flex she thinks it is. At least she said the quiet part out loud — and last — so we know exactly what we’re dealing with.
Also — DaFAQ is “prescription meth?” 🤷🏾♀️
@tify330@JTaylorSkinner The use of “eclectic” here seemed so over the top, at least in this context. Then I read the “…that normally would never work together” part, and realize it’s a bit of a soft brag to indicate they worked together this time because of him.
Or maybe I’m overthinking it.🤷🏾♀️
@Joseph_Fasano_ My very Creole aunt that I lived with for half of 8th grade wasn’t one whose kids would snuggle up and share their English lit homework with.
Yet as I was learning about Shakespeare, she took an interest in both my work and the work of Shakespeare that inspired me. 🥰
@ask_aubry A female friend joked about how I have to “beat men off with a stick” and thought it was funny that I get followed. She’s about 10 years older, and I had to explain how traumatizing it was, and that it’s neither flattering nor desired. It’s sick.
@ask_aubry Another guy, mad because I didn’t reply to his catcalling as I was leaving a grocery store, tried to block me from leaving the parking lot and then chased me onto a freeway. /4
@ask_aubry Still another followed me from a recreation area in our city to my house. Thankfully I realized before I pulled into my driveway, and kept going until I saw a neighbor. The guy had the audacity to say “hey girl - I’m just trying to talk to you.” My neighbor cussed him out. /3
@ask_aubry Another catcalled followed me around in a store, then followed me to my son’s house. He didn’t understand why TF that was creepy and wrong, so I had my son and his roommates come out to explain it to him. He left before they got a word out. 2/
