The Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education, H.E. Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, officially welcomed the first group of Sudanese students to Mogadishu today. These students are the inaugural recipients of government-funded scholarships to pursue their higher education at the Somali National University (SNU).
During the reception, the Minister highlighted the profound and brotherly relationship between the two nations, emphasizing that the Somali government and people remain deeply conscious of the "unforgettable debt of gratitude" owed to Sudan for its historical support.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in educational diplomacy, with the Ministry confirming that additional cohorts of Sudanese students are scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks.
