In Oct. 1986, Abp. Lefebvre produced two cartoons mocking Pope St. John Paul II - the first showing him denying Our Lord entry into Assisi, the second showing Our Lord denying the pope entry into Heaven, while Satan is waving the pope over to Hell.

Bishop Richard Williamson confirmed their provenance: "These pictures were conceived by Archbishop Lefebvre." (The Ridgefield Letters, Vol. I, p. 166)

Tragic irony that one ended up excommunicated, the other canonized.
