@GrulkeLamonte @Cointainer_Life ERVs do not remove moisture, in fact they introduce it in the summer. Highly recommend dehum over ERV.

I’m an electrification consultant for multiple MEP firms. This has been a recurring issue for many installs, especially in humid climates. Would love to chat!

@GrulkeLamonte @Cointainer_Life P.S. I’ve sold Mitsu, LG, and Panasonic. They all suffer the same fate. If you look at their submittal and performance data, it’s right there, the sensible heat ratios are terrible.

@GrulkeLamonte @Cointainer_Life Be VERY mindful of dehumidification. These systems do not remove moisture well. Even if they have a “dry” mode, their control sequences typically lead to over cooling as they chase a RH%. Highly recommend a whole home dehumidifier.

@GrulkeLamonte With you in the South, have you considered geo pool heating? The efficiency synergy you get in the summer when air conditioning the home at the same time is nice. Alongside an uncapped 30% tax credit can make this quite appealing.
