I find it a bit odd so much character and plot development for #TheMandalorian is occurring in #TheBookOfBobaFett. They have to assume a large chunk of their audience will be going into Season 3 without having seen the show.

One major point in favor of the last scene being a false choice is if Luke really believed in no attachments, then there was no storytelling need for someone to intercept Din because Luke could have explained it personally.
