I came back to Twitter after a year and a half away just to have a look but I think I'm good, to be honest. I really feel it's time to properly call it a day. You can find me here. Please come and say HELLO.
It's been swell. Take care of yourselves.
Cheerio. x
In Metro 2033 there's a station called 'Polis' and I always wondered why it was called that. Never made the connection. I've had ten years to think about that. Dearie me.
I also love just how foul it all is. The air stinks. The people stink. Everything stinks. Flies crawl across the screen. You have to wipe blood away from your eyes so you can see. It's fuckin' minging and I adore it.
Metro 2033 does sneaking around in the dark like no other game. I love turning out all the lights and picking off dicks one by one with a wee knife to the head. Look, don't judge me. It's a hobby.
Have a mad itch to play all the Metro games again. Tried a bit of Stalker but didn't take to it so it got me thinking about the lovely Metro with the gas masks and the Nazis and the mutant dog things or something. Those games are ace.
@NightmareModeGo Aye, that's also what got me thinking about replaying them. Or at least just dipping my toes in a for a bit. Really excited about Awakening. Looks like it could be special.
Playing old games and there's nothing to point you in the right direction, no exposition dumper constantly telling you what to do over a crackly radio, no waypoints permanently on screen... Just games giving you space and letting you figure stuff out. It's amazing.
I'm away from home at the moment so I'm playing some old PC games (the only stuff my laptop can run) and I've come to the conclusion that modern games excel in treating you like you're a dumb as pigshit fucking idiot.
@RachelPrevails Not yet, but I recently stuck on the enhanced edition from years ago and it's so hard to control I had to give up. Dunno how I managed this back in the day. Really wanna get the remake soon. Got a taste for it now.
After being in my Steam library for years I've finally played The Silent Age and LOVED it. Cracking story, great writing, fabulous art and straightforward puzzles. Thoroughly recommended.
