91 days until Eagles football, and it always makes me think of one of my favorite Eagles games ever: The 1991 “House of Pain” game against the Houston Oilers.

The Oilers were nearly unbeatable at home and featured one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses, but the Eagles dominant defense brought the pain. Philadelphia held Houston to just 6 points and walked away with a 13-6 victory, inspiring Jerome Brown’s legendary quote:

“They brought the house, we brought the pain.”

@sethjoyner put together one of the greatest games I’ve ever seen from an Eagles linebacker, finishing with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. The defense delivered hit after hit that wouldn’t be allowed in today’s NFL so let’s look at my Top 10 Defensive plays from that game.
