The grade 8 boys basketball team won the U14 England National Schools Championship on May 12, defeating Sale Grammar 86-66.

Eighth-grade students visited Normandy, France May 8-12 to visit sites related to World War II. They learnt about World War II by visiting museums, cemeteries, and beaches where Allied troops landed for D-Day.

The U14 boys basketball team took third place at the London Youth Games Final Four on March 28. They lost the first game 42-27 to Saint Thomas More. Then they won the second game 37-34 against Harris City Academy Crystal Palace to win the bronze. #ASLEagles #londonyouthgames

The Spongebob Musical will be performed by 6-8 graders from March 10 - 12! The performance on March 12 is being live-streamed, so anyone who can't get a ticket can still watch the performance. The link for the live stream is available by registering at https://t.co/b6bzQ2ucT0

#tbt to February 17 when eighth-grade students visited King's Cross to look at design solutions that maintain biodiversity and ecosystem services in that area. Some of the places visited included Gasholder Park, Somers Town Bridge, Story Garden, and Coal Drops Yard.

March 1 is Pancake Day, so students had the option to get pancakes with lemon and sugar from the hot lunch line. Pancake day is a day to feast before a 40 day fast begins. About 80 percent of students got the pancakes and many of these students seem to have enjoyed the treats.

The middle school Student Council organized a hot chocolate and music spirit event on February 8 during recess. Students gathered on the Waverley playground to get a sweet treat along with the options of whipped cream and marshmallows.
