The way the faces were lighting up when our young men walked in the building… 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚, are the moments.

The Perch will forever have great affection for the slightly undersized 3/4 who plays insanely hard, rebounds well above his height and gets dirty buckets.

Every team in the country needs a dude like that.

This UNCW team has plenty of talent, but it is also trying to figure our how to play together.

Saturday, it ran into a High Point team capable of highlighting the latter. What the Hawks should take from that into the preseason finale vs. UNCG:

Four-star guard pickup for soon-to-be #caahoops member Fairfield.

247 currently lists him as the No. 132 prospect for 2027. High school recruiting in the portal-era is wild.

.@UNCWBaseball's lineup returns a proven centerpiece in Jake Bechtel, who posted an .816 OPS with 10 homers, 15 doubles and 22 steals last spring.

At 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, he's still just scratching the surface of his potential.

The schedule was just corrected — the Tuesday after the Northeastern series is actually a home game vs. NC State.

[The Seahawk Perch @TheSeahawkPerch]

The @UNCWBaseball noncon schedule lacks some big names we've seen, but great work with Mercer + USC Upstate series.

Couple big opportunities on the road with UNC + NC State, plus midweeks with Coastal, ECU, Citadel are strong. Extra game vs. Northeastern is awesome.

Very cool to have Northeastern hang around for *nonconference* matchup after the weekend series, too.
