It's a shame that Bawnie Oulton was not one of the Newfoundland artists to cut a solo record in the '70s. I constantly revisit this 1978 gem of Oulton delivering a smokey Nico-esque rendition of "These Days" by Jackson Browne. Footage filmed in St. John's for CBC's Kinda Kountry

@JudyChucky I believe those would have been the final years of the Capitol! Jaws would have been '75, and the Capitol closed up by '77. What I wouldn't give to have another downtown theater.

Crowd lined up for The Exorcist at the Capitol Theatre in St. John's in July 1974. There are many tales of folks fainting in the theatre during these screenings. Thanks to Terry Combden for uploading this gem.
