Not a single person I have met so far ( after my return to Tripura) is happy about the E20 petrol situation.
And all of them are BJP voters.
Most complaints are about difficulties in getting the vehicle started, random acceleration ( experienced first-hand) and damage caused to the engine.
Unlike urban areas, folks in Tier-3 do not change vehicles for 15-20 years.
Everyone I have spoken to so far has purchased their vehicles ( mostly 2 wheelers, some have 4 wheelers) before 2023.
They are anxious that their bikes and cars would require replacement sooner than they have anticipated. And this would come at a big cost.

For the past few days, I have been receiving scam emails from people impersonating @rahulroushan sir
I have decided to play along and find what happens next 😂
For the past 1 week, I have been seeing men and women on my timeline berating and calling each other 'Thul-thulas'.
Wtf does that even mean?
Besides, each side is advising young men & women not to marry a fellow Indian but a foreigner who is white because they are 'better'.
The man in this picture is Bhimrao Kamble. Today, he was awarded the death penalty by a sessions court in Pune.
The case dates to 1st May 2026, when Bhimrao raped and murdered a 3.5-year-old girl.
Can you imagine the kind of monster one needs to be to do this to a child?
The great news is that the court found that the crime fell under the 'rarest of rare cases' and hence deserved capital punishment.
Bhimrao can still appeal against the verdict to the High Court and the Supreme Court.
I am happy to see the pace of conviction at the trial court level.
Hope the same speed of verdict is ensured in the higher courts of appeal.
Only deterrence and swift justice can keep evil at bay.
If you ever feel that a lack of common or civic sense has to do with poverty, then watch this video.
A man was driving his family car, with 6 other occupants, in reverse on an Expressway.
Due to his foolishness, 4 members of his family have perished, 3 others are injured
What would have happened if Faiyaz Nisar Hussain Premji had been successful in killing 30K people during Muharram?
- India would have been condemned globally
- The RSS would have been blamed
- The usual suspects would have labelled it 'saffron terror'
Kudos to @MumbaiPolice for apprehending Faiyaz on time.
Personal update: My time in Bengaluru has come to an abrupt end.
After having lived in the city for more than 10 years, I have relocated to my Tier 3 hometown in Tripura (Northeast India) for the foreseeable future.
When I first came here to study at the age of 16 in 2012, I was amazed by the people, culture and the enormous opportunities that the city had to offer.
There is no place like ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು .
For millions of small-town men like me, Bengaluru gave hope and the possibility to dream big and extraordinary.
It provided a sneak peek into a world that did not exist for us.
I have never complained about minor inconveniences that I experienced in this city because Bengaluru was/is/will be 100x better than where I came from.
The vibe and weather of this city are unmatched.
Places like JP Nagar, Jaynagar, and Banshankari will forever be in my memories now. I will miss my favourite Masala Dosa and Chicken Boneless Meghna Biriyani, of course.
Lastly, I am eternally grateful to the locals (Kannadigas) who have always been kind, warm and welcoming to me.
Namma Bengaluru forever ♥️
This is the power of social media. An elderly man went to file a complaint at the Bichhiwara police station (Dungarpur district) in Rajasthan.
There, he met a police constable by the name of Reena Garg, who seemed uninterested in his complaint.
Thereafter, in a bizarre display of unprofessional behaviour, the constable placed both of her feet on the table.
This was done in complete disregard of basic etiquette towards an elderly individual.
Fortunately, someone at that police station took a picture of Reena and posted it on social media.
And the Rajasthan police was forced to take cognisance.
Dungarpur SP Manish Kumar acted swiftly and suspended the disgraced cop.
The police are appointed to serve the public. But this viral image shows how some entitled cops behave when they are supposed to serve the people's interests.
Thanks to social media, even the police cannot escape accountability now!

If you see someone throwing trash on the road, dont confront him. If you do, then you may be assaulted or end up dead.
Similarly, don't try to correct the political/ religious opinion of your cab driver or the salon executive. Because in both cases, you are in a vulnerable position.
Only do the right thing when there is no danger to your physical safety and well-being. Teach your children to read the situation first.
You don't be the saviour and let the police or whoever's duty is to fix the thing do it for you.
Unsolicited bravery in India can lead to your untimely death. No one will remember what you did, but your family will suffer forever.
Don't listen to social media BS about doing the 'right thing' always.

This is not being discussed much in mainstream media.
4 students couldn't write their NEET exam due to a political event organised by the Karnataka Congress government.
The careers of these aspirants took a massive setback yesterday. Who will take accountability now?
There has been no paper leak ahead of the NEET re-test. And no student has been allotted Karachi as the exam centre.
Since yesterday, politically motivated Twitter handles have been exercising their 'freedom of speech' to spread rumours about the NEET re-exam.
Students are already in a state of extreme stress and panic. And these accounts are adding to it for political vendetta and engagement farming.
The good news is that the National Testing Agency has taken note of the matter and has registered cybercrime complaints against these accounts.
Now, these handles are citing 'satire' and 'free speech' as their defence for malicious rumour-mongering.
Once the police take the admins into their custody, all dank fear-mongering experts and conspiracy theorists will go silent.
If you find more such instances, you can DM me. I will ensure that they are held accountable.

NEET has centres outside India in 12 countries.
If a student voluntarily chooses Abu Dhabi as his centre using his login, what can the National Testing Agency do in this case?
But good to see that NTA went above and beyond to accomodate last minute change to Nagpur
I came across this beautiful, heartwarming story earlier this morning.
A Kashmiri Pandit family, who suffered exodus at the hands of terrorists in 1990, has finally returned home after 36 years.
They have now opened a restaurant in Langate, Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir.
Akash Dar, the owner of the eatery, told ANI, "I would urge fellow Kashmiri Pandits to return to their roots...They can come here without fear..."
I hope he and his family remain safe.
We have previously seen targeted attacks by terrorists to discourage the rehabilitation and resettlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
I hope enough security measures are being taken to ensure their safety and security.
The refugees in their own homeland have the right to return!
The Indian Express has conducted an investigation, which reveals how rich people are exploiting the EWS quota available for poor general category students during the UPSC exam.
Children of businessmen, IIT graduates, and alumni of private schools with fees over 1 lakh a year had opted for the EWS quota to secure high ranks in the UPSC 2025 edition.
104 candidates were selected through this quota, which entails that family income (not individual) must be less than 8 lakhs per year.
The Indian Express found the following -
- 64% went to expensive civil services coaching institutes (64.4 per cent);
- 44% went to private schools
- 26% candidates had parents who ran businesses
- 9.6% had corporate jobs
All of them miraculously had a family income of less than ₹8 lakhs per annum.
The probe clearly reveals a lack of due diligence by the Union Public Service Commission. But, it also raises an important question -
If these officers start their careers with fraud, how can we expect fairness and justice from them in the long run?
It thus comes as no wonder that we read stories of corruption by civil servants and government officials all the time.
Honesty, just like charity, begins at home!
The purpose of the EWS quota was fairness, but many privileged future bureaucrats from well-off families are ruining it for everyone (particularly the poor).

This is the wildest thing that I read on LinkedIn today.
Distortians have shifted from Twitter, knowing well that their BS claims may find little to no contest on that job-seeking platform.
Can you believe comparision between Khilji and Savarkar, where the former is better?
I find the banning of Telegram and the involvement of the Indian Air Force a bit extreme for conducting NEET
All of this hassle could have been avoided if the National Testing Agency had built/ invested in infrastructure to conduct the NEET as a Computer-based Test (CBT).
The recent news about the 'missing' coal in Telangana reminded me of the coal allocation scam, which took place between 2004 and 2009
The Indian govt lost around ₹1.86 lakh crores. Did that case reach any conclusion?
Or the same situation as always, of no accountability?
