Massillon is a national program now—and it shows. Georgia, Texas, Canada, the Northeast…they’ll play anyone, anywhere. But here’s the rub we kicked around on Ep. 75: the stands are full either way, yet the average Ohio fan still craves Tigers vs. Eds/Igna/Glenville or a Columbus/Cincy power.

OHSAA points aren’t the issue—out-of-state wins still count (first-level + second-level via the opponent’s wins). It’s identity. Do you lean into the national brand, or re-ignite Ohio rivalries that light up every corner bar in Stark and Summit?

Meanwhile, the Week 4 board is tasty:
• Lake–Perry: adversity at Lake vs. a Perry team that just went into Harding and punched out a W. Old-school trench ball, new-school balance.
• Louisville is big, tough, and for real. A rivalry date at Marlington will tell us even more.
• Triway at Northwest: air raid vs. bounce-back energy.
• Hoover–Green: throw out the records; keep the fireworks.
• Jackson–Mayfield: Bears navigating injuries but dangerous at home.

The Shadow knows… wow, I am thoroughly impressed. Perry Panthers are 3-0 after the most impressive win of the season—going into Warren Harding & walking out 25-14. Spencer Leno has these boys rolling. Watch out, Stark County… the Panthers are for real!
