Nobody from sony (or the company he purchased the games from) is going to go to his house and demand the games back.

@charlieINTEL What I dont understand is, why can't they do an input based crossplay? Like have people who use controllers on PC play against the vast majority of people on console. Same vice versa. Surely wouldn't be that hard to do.
