The FMG community continues to face serious challenges. Thousands of Foreign Medical Graduates are struggling, and many candidates are repeatedly receiving the same scores in the FMGE despite months of dedicated preparation.

The FMGE is among the costliest screening examinations in India, with an examination fee of ₹6,195. Despite this, numerous candidates experienced poor infrastructure and inadequate facilities at examination centres. Several students reportedly became unwell or fainted during the examination due to the conditions. Such circumstances are unacceptable for a national-level examination.

Following the concerns raised after the June 2026 FMGE, NBEMS(@NbeIndia)stated that a three-member committee would be constituted to review the issues. However, no official update has been issued, and the FMG community is still waiting for accountability and transparency.

Our demands are simple, fair, and justified. We seek transparency in the FMGE examination process. If examinations such as the UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination can release question papers and answer keys, there is no valid reason why the FMGE, which is a screening examination, cannot adopt a similar transparent approach.

We therefore urge NBEMS to:

Release an official statement on the findings of the committee.
Ensure greater transparency in the FMGE by releasing the question paper and answer key.
Take responsibility for the concerns raised by candidates.
Provide appropriate and rightful compensation to the affected FMGs.

We respectfully appeal to the Hon’ble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Shri J. P. Nadda Ji (@JPNadda), to kindly intervene and help ensure that the concerns of FMGs are addressed in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.

The FMG community is not asking for special treatment we are asking for fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Thousands wait for internship seats, delaying their careers. Reports of paid internship demands and unpaid internships raise serious concerns.

FMGs are qualified doctors who have earned their degree and passed the licensing exam. If internship is mandatory, the system must ensure adequate seats and fair stipends.

Stop failing young doctors. Fix the internship crisis.

The FMGE June 2026 result is out, and the pass percentage has dropped by nearly 50% compared to the last 3–4 years.

NBE has significantly increased the difficulty level of the examination. Not only was the question paper exceptionally tough, but the examination centres and overall testing conditions were also extremely poor.
This is an injustice to Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs). India needs more doctors, yet even after clearing the FMGE, FMGs are forced to wait for months to begin their internships due to administrative delays.

If the Indian system cannot adequately accommodate FMGs who have successfully cleared the mandatory screening examination, then the government should reconsider its policy on pursuing MBBS abroad. It is unfair to allow students to invest years of their lives and then subject them to endless obstacles at every stage.
The FMGE is meant to be a screening examination, but this time many candidates felt that the paper was even tougher than NEET PG and INI-CET. FMGs deserve a fair examination, proper examination centres, timely internship allotment, and a transparent system not continuous hardship. @NMC_BHARAT @NbeIndia @aimsa_fmsw @FAIMA_INDIA_
