Someone asked which memory I would relive if I could.
I didn't have to think very long.
This one got me in the feels. But it's also exactly why I wrote my book.

@Meldougherty77 Exposing sin and darkness was the most loving thing and it took courage. Telling people what they want to hear doesn't take any courage at all and is completely unloving.
If you found a machine that could let you relive any memory exactly as it happened, which one would you choose?
I have thoughts on this for obvious reasons. 🌿 #TheCostToGoBack#SheVersion
I started writing my next book yesterday.
The laundry almost didn't make it.
My characters are waiting and they are not patient. 🌿 #SheVersion#AmWriting
@authorascend_ My husband is my rock. He carried me through. God was constantly coming through for us during this time as well. Even though I was constantly wrestling with Him, He was constantly answering my prayers. It's hard to sum it all up. lol
@authorascend_ My own personal story. When I lost my memories and other abilities after our accident I really struggled with our situation. I desperately wanted to rewrite my story.
God offered Elijah a snack and a nap. Twice.
Elijah still chose misery.
I wrote about why that's embarrassingly relatable.

You guys. SheVersion is live.
I wrote a novel. It started with a car accident and a traumatic brain injury and a woman who wanted to control everything.
Sound familiar?
First chapter is free. Go read it and tell me what you think 👉 https://t.co/ha0tXnFyzO

Why do Christians keep swinging from one extreme to another?
When we realize we were wrong, we often overcorrect instead of seeking truth.
Reaction isn’t discernment.
I talk about the “ditch on both sides of the road” in this week’s episode:
https://t.co/17Qk0yCELZ
There is a ditch on both sides of the road.
One ditch is shallow emotional faith.
The other ditch is harsh legalism.
The goal is not switching ditches.
The goal is staying on the road.
Christians often correct error the wrong way.
We don’t aim for truth.
We aim away from the last mistake we made.
That’s how people swing from one extreme to another.
The problem isn’t that there are too many Christian voices.
The problem is that many of us were never taught how to handle Scripture well for ourselves.
