I took my parents with me to see Wim Wenders' @ThePopeMovie A Man of His Word. Expectations were high, as he's one of my favorite filmmakers--but I'm undone in ways I couldn't have anticipated. What an elegant, lyrical, human and holy film. More poem/meditation, than documentary.

On Mother's Day, I'm most grateful for the boy who lived in my imagination and heart before he lived in the world, and who, nine years ago, made me a mum. Thank you, V. I love you to Mars and back.
