Peter Sellers as a cowboy Santa demagogue. Rod Serling, post JFK assassination, at his bleakest.
A Cold War Christmas Carol that imagines nuclear annihilation and the extinction of mankind.
Ho ho ho.
Alas, no new Sitcom Club Christmas Show this year, but do enjoy our back catalogue of seasonal delights including our Peep Show-themed party and a festive On The Buses board game contest. https://t.co/xpSGQYDxgU
Sad to hear that Norman Eshley has passed away. Began his screen career in an Orson Welles film (pictured) & demonstrated a fine range, from comedy to horror. My father was absolutely delighted with his performance as a cowardly graduate rookie in Sweeney episode Taste of Fear.
Terrible news folks.
Our highly talented friend, the legendary actor, Norman Eshley has left us for the great cinema in the sky. We will treasure the back stage laughs and chats. An honour to work with you. Rest in peace, dear chap.
Some actors capture an aspect of their historical moment. The combover, the knitwear, the wheedling and fussing - Brian Murphy was the absolute exemplar of a certain kind of postwar masculinity - the salaryman born slightly too early for the Permissive Society. RIP.
Incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Brian Murphy. A genuine legend of comedy acting. Man About the House + George & Mildred were a childhood favourites then I had the immense honour of writing for him in The Catherine Tate Show & Benidorm. Much love to Linda & family💔
The wonderful Brian Murphy was a regular on the TPTV Film & TV Festival stage, and he always brought laughter and love to every show. He will be missed.

As well as being a fine actor, Brian Murphy was also a Foster parent. He was reunited with some of those children he fostered on This is Your Life in 1998.
